About Pit Wall
Pit Wall is a free, unofficial Formula 1 live timing and data tool built for fans who want clean, fast information during race weekends.
It shows live timing, sector times, pit stops, race control messages, team radio clips and other session data in a single interface. Timing data comes from the community OpenF1 API (unofficial). Historical sessions become available shortly after the chequered flag.
Pit Wall is a personal project by JD (jdvb.com.au / @jdvbphotography). It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Formula 1, the FIA, any team, or any official broadcaster.
The goal is simple: give fans a fast, accurate and free way to follow the action — especially useful when official apps or streams are lagging or limited.
Timing data comes from the community OpenF1 API (unofficial, free for historical sessions; sessions become fully available about 30 minutes after the flag). During a live session this page polls every 15 seconds. Real-time coverage on the free tier can lag or pause; it always shows the latest data the API will serve.
